In total, 4 gas stations were robbed in a 5-and-a-half-hour period from Sunday night into Monday morning.
The second report came from the Shell at 4933 Lima Road, at 10:39 p.m. Police say the armed man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A third armed robbery was reported at the Shell on East State Boulevard and Maplecrest Road at 12:07 a.m. Monday. It was the same M.O., with the man demanded cash while displaying a handgun.
At 12:34 a.m., another report came in from the Lassus Handy Dandy at 7400 Maplecrest Road.
Information gathered indicated that the suspects may have been driving a dark colored Dodge Avenger.
At 1:41am, Fort Wayne Police Department officer Cory Troyer was on patrol checking other gas stations, when he located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle in the parking lot of the gas station in the 3500 block of Wayne Trace. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, and confirmed the driver and sole occupant to be 23-year-old Brendan Collicott. He is now charged with 4 counts of robbery, a level 3 felony, and 4 counts of possession of a gun without a license, a level 5 felony.
Officers also recovered a firearm inside the vehicle.
Investigators continue to search for the accomplice who was described in the previous press release, a male black, medium brown skin, black jacket with a red horizontal stripe and a black hoodie, who was the lookout.
