Woman dies from injuries following motorcycle crash on 69

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Coroner says a woman hurt in a motorcycle crash last week has died. On Friday July 19, 2019 at approximately 6:34 PM officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to I 69 316 Mile Marker Northbound in
reference to a motorcycle accident. As officers arrived on the scene, they located a male adult victim and a female adult victim. Paramedics arrived on the scene and provided medical attention to the victims. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where the male was listed with non- life threatening injuries and the female was listed with life threatening injuries.

Investigators advised that the male was the driver of the motorcycle and the female was riding as the passenger of the motorcycle while traveling northbound. Investigators were advised that the motorcycle’s tire blew which resulted in the motorcycle losing control. Both riders were not wearing helmets.

The Allen County Coroner said Monday that the female passenger died from her injuries.
She has been identified as Dianna Lines, 58, of Indianapolis, Indiana.

“Cause of Death has been determined to be Blunt Force Injuries Due to Motor Vehicle Crash and the manner
of Death is Accident.
Dianna Lines is the 21st fatal motor vehicle crash in Allen County for 2019.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.”
